About Awash National Park
Awash National Park is located approximately 225 kilometers east of Addis Ababa, covering an area of 850 square kilometers. The park is renowned for its diverse ecosystems, including acacia woodlands, grasslands, and riverine wetlands. It is home to over 81 species of mammals, 43 species of reptiles, and a variety of bird species. Notable attractions within the park include the Awash Falls, hot springs at Filwoha, and Mount Fentale, a dormant stratovolcano.
